Thanks to Noel Watson for some pictures of the CLRC green lane day on a Sunday in May:
The bank holiday at the end of May saw a group gathered at Corwen for a laning trip around that area of Wales. As a bit of a “first”, Eddie and Tracey (Chairman and Secretary) were let loose as group leaders! Highlights of the trip included crossing the River Dee at the infamous “Corwen Carwash” and traversing the “Wayfarer” – the highest road in Wales. The latter lane emerges at the head of the Ceiriog Valley, where we were able to have a civilised toilet stop, with the bonus of a quick beer in the sunny weather. Although one of the Land Rovers had an overheating problem, everyone completed the day without too much difficulty.
